My Idea is to set up a website which will have the contact details (official email IDs) of all major public departments (including and especially the MPs, MLAs, Councillors, Municipal, Water and Electricity Departments) for a person's locality in a drop down format.
Anybody who has a question/suggestion/comment about anything in his/her locality can simply choose his/her constituency and the message will be delivered. For e.g. If the local municipal worker does not clean the street or the asks for bribe to do his job, one can simply go to the website and send a message.
There will be a scorecard for every individual (public representative) giving details about questions asked and response received.
The report card can be used by the general public in the next elections to evaluate the performance of the individual and thus ensuring that the representatives take action on the same.
This will ensure transparency in the system and general public will not hesitate in asking questions concerning local matters.
